The restaurant application is open year-round.
The deadline to apply for the 2023 festival is Friday, February 17th, 2023.
The Taste Restaurant Committee will review all completed applications received by the deadline date and will begin filling the available space. If your establishment meets the below criteria and if space is available, a representative will reach out to you with additional details and next steps. Chain restaurants will be given consideration only if local restaurants do not fill every available space.
To be considered for entry into the event, your restaurant must:
- Be a public establishment, whose primary commercial function is to serve and sell food to the general public.
- Offer seating at the principal place of business.
- Be open year-round in Western New York.
There is a $700 entry that includes:
- One 15’ x 15’ tent
- Signage identifying your restaurant name and menu items
- All necessary permits excluding propane permit (when required)
- Roaming event security
Taste of Buffalo retains 18% of sales after NYS sales tax is withheld.
Please consider the following details when completing the application below. Restaurants that are selected to participate will be required to comply with all menu item requirements and adhere to the guidelines and rules of the Taste of Buffalo. All food items are purchased with food tickets, ranging from 2 to 10 tickets. Each food ticket is valued at $.50 cents. Only food can be offered on your menu. Beverage items are not permitted. Every effort will be made to minimize menu item duplication across all participating Taste restaurants.
Taste requires each restaurant to serve a smaller sized “Taste” portion of at least one of the menu items you will be serving for 4 tickets.
Taste also requires each restaurant to serve one Healthy Option. A Healthy Option is an item that is lower in fat, cholesterol & sodium. Item will require approval based on guidelines to be provided.
