Taste of Buffalo Announces Scholarship Program
MARCH 18, 2021, BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Taste of Buffalo presented by Tops is now accepting applications for its annual scholarship program to support Western New Yorkarea high school seniors aspiring to careers in the foodservice and hospitality industries. This year’s program will award four recipients with a $500 scholarship to be applied toward non-tuition expenses, such as room, board, books and fees.
“The Taste of Buffalo’s scholarship program is an important part of our overall mission as a nonprofit to support the region’s restaurant and hospitality industries,” said 2021 Taste of Buffalo Chairwoman Amber Hartman. “While the annual event showcases what restaurants are doing now, we also know that we must help support the chefs and restauranteurs of tomorrow.”
New this year, the Taste of Buffalo will designate one of the scholarships specifically for a student residing in the City of Buffalo.
To be eligible for any of the above scholarships, students must be residents of Erie, Niagara, Orleans, Wyoming, Genesee, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, or Allegany counties and have enrolled in a two- or four-year college in a foodservice or hospitality degree program.
