Joseph Piersa of Lancaster Named Grand Prize Winner of Poster Art Contest for Taste of Buffalo presented by Tops

April 12, 2019, BUFFALO, N.Y. – Tops Friendly Markets and the Taste of Buffalo have announced the grand prize winner of the 2019 Poster Art Contest – Joseph Piersa, an 18-year-old from Lancaster, N.Y. Joseph’s design earned top honors in the 13 to 18-year-old age group. His artwork will be featured on the cover of the event’s festival guide and on the festival poster. In addition, Joseph will receive a $1,000 cash prize.

Lori Wagner, a resident of Buffalo., is the winner of the 19+ age group and will be presented with $500. The prizes are courtesy of Tops and the Taste of Buffalo.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to tap into Western New York’s richly talented community of artists to capture the essence of our festival,” said Matt Testa, 2019 Taste of Buffalo chair. “The Poster Art Contest received more than 100 entries this year, and we appreciate the hard work that went into every submission.”

The Taste of Buffalo will take place on July 13 and 14, 2019 along Delaware Avenue and Niagara Square in downtown Buffalo.
