BUFFALO, N.Y., July 13, 2020 – Organizers of the Taste of Buffalo presented by Tops have announced winners of the Taste Takeout Awards. Thirty-five restaurants and food trucks, five wineries, and Tops Markets served special Taste Takeout menu items during Taste of Buffalo at Home this past weekend, and many will continue to offer deals throughout the week in celebration of the virtual food festival.
Erin Collins, 2020 Taste of Buffalo Chair, selected India Gate for the Chair’s Choice Award. The Elmwood Village establishment’s Taste Takeout is available through July 19 and includes three options: Alu Mater Samosa, a savory pastry filled with potato and peas ($3.50 for three samosas), Chicken Butter Tikka Masala ($13) and Kheer, Indian rice pudding ($3.)
“Taste of Buffalo at Home presented by Tops was an incredible success. Many restaurants saw a great turnout from visitors who placed orders for a Taste Takeout,” said Collins. “This event is all about the restaurants, so we were thrilled to be able to send some extra business their way. We encourage people to keep eating all week long. Check our virtual Festival Guide for details on where to order from. You can find it at tasteofbuffalo.com.”
