Taste of Buffalo presented by TOPS Invites Restaurants, Food Trucks & Wineries to Apply for 2017 Festival by January 31
BUFFALO, N.Y., January 10, 2017 - The Taste of Buffalo presented by TOPS announced today that it is seeking new restaurants, food trucks, and wineries for the 2017 event. Those interested in participating in the annual food festival must apply no later than January 31 by completing the online application, which is posted on tasteofbuffalo.com. The 34th annual Taste is set to take place on July 8 and 9 along Delaware Avenue and Niagara Square in downtown Buffalo.
"The Taste of Buffalo prides itself on showcasing the amazingly diverse and delicious culinary offerings in our area," said Ralph Basile, 2017 Taste chair. "We encourage all interested restaurants, food trucks, and wineries to apply for this year's festival, and help us feed more than 450,000 hungry visitors to downtown Buffalo this July."
To be eligible, Western New York restaurants must be public establishments whose primary commercial function is to serve food year-round. Food truck applicants must adhere to the same menu item criteria as brick and mortar restaurants. Wineries from the Niagara, Lake Erie, and Finger Lake regions are eligible to apply. The Taste of Buffalo presented by Tops is the nation's largest two-day food festival, attracting more than 450,000 visitors each year. The 34th annual Taste will take place on July 8 and 9, 2017 along Delaware Avenue and Niagara Square in downtown Buffalo. The Taste is a not-for-profit organization with more than 1,000 volunteers helping to put on the annual event. More than $360,000 has been raised at the festival for local charities in addition to five $1,000 scholarships awarded annually to local high school seniors pursuing a culinary or hospitality-related degree.
