Celebrate Buffalo's finest gastronomic glories at the Culinary Theatre presented by Niagara Food Festival sponsored by Jack Daniels Sauces at its NEW LOCATION in the New Era Cap Co. front parking lot!

Be sure to follow along as Buffalo area chefs and artisans hold down the kitchen while preparing their favorite recipes.

Don’t miss the non-stop action of Buffalo’s own version of “Iron Chefs” – Nickel City Chefs on Saturday and Sunday! It’s a competition you won’t want to miss! Just take a seat in the audience before the show begins and you could be selected to become an Official “Taster” and judge the winner!

Nickel City Chef is an ongoing cooking competition where chefs from all over WNY challenge one of our Nickel City Chefs, each an independent chef/owner from a WNY restaurant. Their appearance at the Taste Culinary Theatre will be the first time any of the Nickel City Chefs will compete against one another.

On Saturday, Chef JJ Richert of Torches will go head-to-head with the venerable Chef Paul Jenkins of Tempo. The chefs will appear at both 1pm and 3pm. Each chef will be given a particular dish to make from a small pantry (featuring many local products) in just 45 minutes. A panel of tasters from the audience will be selected to choose the winner. On Sunday, classically-trained Chef Krista Van Wagner of Curly’s and the very innovative Chef Adam Goetz of Sample will compete in a similar fashion.
