As Chairman of this year's Taste of Buffalo, presented by TOPS, I am excited to offer this opportunity for yet another emerging Western New York artist to be recognized. For over 25 years, the Taste of Buffalo has delivered Western New York's premier summer festival and this year's Taste of Buffalo promises to be another fantastic event.

The successful Grand Prize Winner will have their artwork used in some of the 2010 "Taste of Buffalo - presented by TOPS" official advertising materials! This is a great opportunity for students to develop a strong understanding of the bond of art within the community and how it can effect the outcome of an event. This project can be used as both a teaching tool and an opportunity for students to further develop their portfolios as they prepare for a curriculum in art and/or design.

Deadline for entries is March 19, 2010

Prizes for Winning Entries

(1) Grand Prize: The winner receives a $500 award and the winner's school Art Department will also receive a $500 award. Portions of winner's art design will be featured on select Taste of Buffalo marketing materials including: Poster, Event Guide cover and Table Tents, and the official event poster will be unveiled at the Taste of Buffalo press conference.

(1) Second Prize: A $200 gift certificate for art supplies and framing courtesy of Hyatt's - All Things Creative.

(1) Third Prize: Gift basket of art supplies from Hyatt's.
